My Soul
To know my soul, I set it free
It curtly bowed and turned from me
Then threw itself with ecstacy
Into the void.
"I wished to know my soul," I plead
"Now it is gone from me."
The ancient winds they smile
Embracing me they let me see
That life is born each breath I breathe.
My soul
My precious soul
Resides within my breath
Eternally.
PURPLE
If I could be just anything
When from this life I part.
If I could be a life again
Alive, right from the start.
The color Purple, not a doubt
Is what I'd like to be.
The color Purple, big and small
For everyone to see.
I'd be in little Susan's sticky lollipop.
I'd be a mountains' Laurel
Right up to the top.
Imagine all the rich and fun
Excitement I would bring.
To everything I went into
To every little thing.
Here and there and
Everywhere
For everyone to see.
How joyful an existence
If Purple
I could be.
